  1. Hi,

The EU is made of 25 countries. 15 european countries have adhered to the Schengen Convention (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Norway, Spain and Sweden).

A Schengen visa is valid in all of those 15 countries.

A separate visa may be required by the other EU countries.

    Regards.

    Martin

  2. the EU visa IS the Schengen visa. it applies to all EU countries (the ones before the 2004 ampliation) except UK and Ireland, but including Iceland and Norway.

If you have a Schengen visa you can travel freely between these countries, while UK and Ireland have a special policy
