  1. I'm sure we all answered this last week.

WSB : Road based machines. Very tight rule book.

    4 cly = 1000cc 2 cly = 1200cc.

The starting bike must have sold 3000 [ or something like that] by mid season.

    MOTOGP :

One off pure race driven protoype 800cc missiles.

No road bike starting base. Yes very tight rules, but you make massive changes any time you like.

The MotoGP also runs the 250cc 2 stroke class [ soon to change to 450cc Twins / 600cc Fours] & the 125cc 2 stroke World Championships.

  2. Superbikes are just "Suped up street bikes". GP bikes normally are modified for track use only and are no longer "street legal", also referred to at times as an "Open Class or Track bike".

  3. Wiggysan has covered the answer quite nicely. the Motogpgixxer who says on his profile he races motogp is clueless. the MotoGP bikes are not available to the general public. as Wiggysan Says they are one off prototype machines at the very cutting edge of technology and development. the Superbikes have the same profile as a road going bike but that's where the similarities end. these are also thorough bred race bikes (Built from a base model you can buy) the Super Stock bikes are a lot closer to your road going machines. slight modifications.
