  1. TP = means that its 2* open in the face. If your a slicer of the ball, stay away from the TP

  2. The difference between the two is the shaft.  They use what they call a Re Ax 65 shaft in the r7 superquad and a Re Ax TP shaft in the r7 TP.  I assume it is the superquad you're asking about.  The are several models of the r7 and  TP

  3. The TP has a more open face angle and more weight...the price is more :)

Basically the TP is for an accomplished player.

  4. While the R7 Draw is draw bias'd.  The non- draw R7 can be tuned by moving the weights......The basic diff on the TP's is a 2* open face and shafts with lower kick points to give a lower more boring trajectory

  5. You should go to the source, or www.taylormadegolf.com.....LOL

However, I have the TP in the Tour Burner series.  My last driver was the r7.  The shaft is different.  TP stands for Tour Performance (or Tour Players according to some people).  But essentially the r7 TP has more weight configurations available.  Shaft is more expensive....for that matter, club is more expensive.  Head is a little smaller/deeper face than regular model.  It also is set square to just open (a preference for the better ball striker) v. a bit closed for regular model.  Don't be misled by what others said about draw bias.  For most players, regular r7 is a good club.  They ALSO make a r7Draw and this club's face is even more closed, which helps folks who slice/"overly fade" the ball.  This is a different club from r7.

  6. The r7 drivers traditionally have a draw bias, which helps high handicap players hit the ball straighter and therefore further. The Taylormade TP series is for better players, it provides a slightly open look at adress and it stops the ball from hooking. The r7 series features a REAX shaft, while with the TP series, you get the choice of shafts which are deisgned for lower ball flights and high swing speeds. R7 is you slice the ball, R7 TP if you draw it or hit it straight.
