What is the difference between a 14A-A2 battery and a 14-BS battery?

I have a scooter with a 9bs battery. It drains after a while because of my HID lights. I was thinking of replacing it with a 14-BS battery but a 14A-A2 is much cheaper.

I was wondering what the difference was. They're both 12 volt batteries and the physical size is not much of a difference.

  1. they are both 14 amp batterys.  more than likely it is the battery

posts, or a little different size,, is your scooter 12 volt?

  2. They are essentially the same as far as being powersports, 12 volt batteries.

The 14-BS is maintenance free and requires no activation or initial charging.  The 14A-A2 MUST be activated and then charged.  In other words, you have to open the battery and add the lead-acid, close and seal the battery, then charge it.  I would highly suggest you get the ready to go 14-BS battery.
