  1. good question i really dont know i turn a 3 blade prop and it sems good for speed pulling and hole shot  maybe a 4 blade is better for lakes cause thats where i see them used alot

  2. deals with the size of the boat in relation to it's speed

  3. Obviously a four has potentially more thrust than a three and a five more than a four. But another factor to consider is the "pitch" of the blade, which is (simply put) the amount of "twist" the prop blades are in relation to the shaft.

Different props for  your motor should be available at you dealer.

It would be illadvised to install a prop that is overated for your motors torque and Hp!

  4. three blade for higher speed. four or five for pulling power such as ski.

  5. The difference is that the more blades the smaller diameter you can use.  Pitch of the prop is the distance that it will travel forward through the water in one revolution with no slip.

You can use the 3 or 4 blade props with different pitch to adjust prop loading to give you either more torque or pull at low end by increasing prop load or a lower prop load to give more rpm's or speed at top end.
