  1. ones got 2 cyliders ones got 1 cylinder, ususally your thumper or one cylinder bikes are off road or on off enduro. most 2 cylinder bikes are v twin although there are vertical twins out there.

  2. Single Cylinder bikes are called Thumpers. There is a reason for that but they can be a lot of fun. The  twin will run smoother and have a more even power curve.

  3. 100cc & the twin will run smoother and typically have a higher redline.  I'd expect it to make more power as well.

What two bikes are you comparing and we can give you more answers

  4. When they put 2 cylinders in place of one you get a much smoother bike as it is balanced better.  When piston "A" is at TDC, piston "B" is at the bottom of the stroke.  This helps counter act vibration.  Single cylinders have more torque (thanks to a longer stroke), doubles rev higher (thanks to shorter stroke).  Singles are lighter and that's why all dirt bikes are singles.  Doubles you can get more power per cc generally speaking (like everything else I am saying).

  5. the 500 will have more torque(low down grunt) the 600 will be smother & more top end
