Hi

Im thinking of buying a detox foot spa. I used to have treatments in a salon and it did wonders for my psoriasis. My p is now getting worse so rather then spend a fortune for sessions i thought i would buy my own. Ther are so many on the market that im getting confused on which one to buy. The bio type are much dearer but can any one tell me what the difference is between ones that is bio and ones that aren't.

Thanks Ann

  1. No meaningful difference.  They are ALL scams.  Do not waste any more money on them in any way.

  2. Truth be told, most of them are just different name brands. The only way to really find out the difference between the brands would be to call the companies and ask... there should be an 800-number on the package somewhere. Heck, you could probably ask them why their product is better than their competitors... I'm sure they've got some sales pitch to say their best points. LOL!

In general, Bio could mean a natural source (since "Bio" is the Latin root for life), but is used more often than it should be as part of a name to make it look natural when it might not be. Take anything that's said in advertising with a grain of salt... that's the best advice I can give for that part.

From what I've seen, most foot spas are about the same, so theoretically, they should all help your psoriasis about the same. Although, you could always ask the salon where you got the treatments if they have any brand they prefer. Good luck!
