  1. My friend has a mac, and instead of internet, its called 'Safari' but i dont reccomend getting it, cause you cant download alot of stuff on it, and its VERY confusing. PC is better. :]. Only think thats good out of a Mac is that its big. |:

  2. A Mac is a computer made by Apple, Inc.  They run an operating system called "Mac OS X".

A PC is any other computer that you find that runs Microsoft Windows.

Macs are not confusing, they are just different.  And you CAN download a lot of stuff onto them, although almost all of the software you need comes with it.  They are more reliable and don't crash very often.

  3. A Mac is a Apple's Macintosh  Computers they consist of Macbooks,Macbook Pros,iMac,Mac Mini, Mac Pro all which come with Apples software!

A PC on the other hand are pretty much every other computers! A PC stands for PERSONALIZED COMPUTER! this is because you can mix different monitors and different softwares because they dont come with any software already installed

  4. PC is personal computer. These days, it is a term used for any number of Windows-based machines. Macs are made by Apple.

There are many differences - especially because there is such a wide variety of PCs out there made by dozens of manufacturers.

If you really want to know the differences, Diffen it at http://diffen.com/difference/Mac_vs_PC. If you want a summary, I would stick with what Major Tom said.

  5. I think that a PC is a personal computer and mac is laptop. I like the PC better and that's what I have. I just for some reason I don't like lap tops.

  6. this  question has so many awnsers it snot even funny so il just break it down easily for you

mac : more expensive  you get a better computer with all the trimmings ie  you get what you pay for  you get a nice purdy  shell  and a  good stable non microsoft os  that doesnt have  100,000  viruses

on the downside  you cant play a lot of games and  games for the mac  are generally later an dmore expensive on the plus side each new mac can  run windows out of the box

windows: eveyrbody uses it you can  walk  to any pc shop an dbuy pc  software and games

the downside  : everybody uses it its a massive target  for  hackers crackers and virus makers

...buy a intel mac and if you dont like mac os  run windows

  7. I nearly wet myself with some of these answers.  Here is the true difference:  the price.

PC is short for Personal Computer.  PC was a processor architecture developed by IBM and Intel to create the IBM PC.  This became popular among businesses and later would create the PC compatible architecture.  Apple used to use an architecture called PowerPC developed by Motorola.  This was the defining difference between Macs and PC's until 2005 when Apple started to have Intel make their processors using the PC (or x86 if you will) architecture.  So, in essence, Macs stopped being Macs when that change was made and a Mac IS a PC.

And I am typing this on a laptop that is not a mac.......

  9. well a pc is more of an gaming/office computer macs are more of office and less of gaming but macs are coming out with ea games. also macs mostly run smother quicker and are less vonerable to viruses (example: ive had a mac G4 for almost 4 yrs now and 0 viruses my mom on the other hand had a toshiba and in 5 yrs its had 2 viruses and one was a trojan (trojan= bad type of virus) but im switching to pc strictly for games (and my mac is too old) if your looking for music/movie player buy an apple but if your looking for games (I'm not saying macs don't have games) go with p.c.. There is a lot of choices out there and mac (apple laptops/desktops) are more in general but PCs have a huge horizon ( dell, acer.gateway,hp,compaq lots of choices

  10. I could tell you the numerous differences between Macs and PCs (really, I could think of at least 100) but I'll just get the basics.

Macs: Typically more expensive, typically better looking, better suited to people who aren't afraid of spending more money for customer service, aesthetics and don't do gaming, just video/picture editing. Simple stuff.

PCs: Made for a larger audience, ranging from people who use just browse the web and check email to people who are determined to make Crysis cry in fear. Larger amount of customization although there is an increased likelihood of getting a virus. Of course, if you don't go visiting questionable websites (eg pornography, "free" money scam sites, etc) you should be fine too. The only reason why people say PCs get viruses more easily is because they are dumb and go visiting stupid websites.
