  1. Freestyle bikes are smaller, lighter, and less complex.  They will not have gears and shocks like a mountain bike.

Freestyle is generally cheaper than a mountain bike.

  2. Freestyle is cheaper. Mountain bikes have gears.

A freestyle bike is basically a bmx that is modified to do tricks on.

Mountain bikes have gears for hill climbing and usually shocks and stuff to handle rough terrain. Mountain bikes are also usually bigger.

  3. The cheaper one is the free style. The free style gear is a regular bike however the mountain bike has a double, triple gear that help with strenght toward going up a mountain and sometimes it feels like you are in flat land. When that bike is on flat land it runs faster than the regular bike.

  4. they are the same price at k-mart

  5. How about splitting the difference and getting a dirt jump/park mountain bike. It has suspension but is kinda like a freestyle bmx bike.
