  1. Do you mean the Euro Rail Train Passes or not?

  2. There's no difference...between Reisepass and Europapass. In former times it was called Reisepass and green. The Europapass is burgundy. Think it's called Europapass because in every European country the passport looks similar now!

There's 'European Union' written on all passports of the European countries.

  3. Well, these answsers are only partly correct.

    A Reisepass is a passport.

But an Europapass officially doesn't exist. Some people call the new red Reispass "Europapass". But this is not the official name, it is still a Reisepass.

So basically an Europapass is the same thing as a Reisepass, just that the second word is the official one.

  4. A Reisepass is simply a passport. An Europapass is a (new) passort for citizens of EU.

    Greetings from Hamburg, Germany

    Heinz

  5. The Reisepass (passport) is a document that was required for citizens of the members of the European Union (EU) for travelling to states outside of the EU. Each nation had an individual set-up and colour of that document.

The Europass is a standardized passport issued now by all members of the EU.

For travelling between EU-countries a passport is not required for inhabitants of EU. The identity card (Personalausweis) is sufficient for a German to go to the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and so on.

  6. Blue is correct in her answer.  I do not understand her thumbs down?
