What is the difference between a Squier Stratocaster and a Stratocaster?

  1. Squier is a cheaper version of a Fender. Fender's are better made, and from better wood, and electrical components.

    Older Squiers, 80's ones known as "JV's" are often better than their Fender counterparts. So it kinda depends.

    But new ones, Fender is the better one, Squier is a cheaper version of a Fender built guitar.

    Don't get me wrong though, Squiers can be really great.


  2. biggest difference is the price, you can get a squire for under a 100 bones,i had one for a first guitar, sounded pretty good, got stolen, shed a tear
