  1. bass is lower in tone and a guitar is what you normaly hear in the music.

  2. A bass guitar covers a lower set of notes. The strings are thicker and there are only four of them, and it's much deeper. The bass works with the drums to keep the rhythm of the music and is what you feel rumbling the walls and floors when you listen to loud funky music.

  3. this Bass only has 2 strings and is tuned an octave lower than a guitar

the performer plays one note at a time but guitars play many strings at once to play chords.

  4. bass has only four strings guitar has six

  5. Everything:

Bass has a longer neck and uses thicker strings - these result into its pitch range moved downwards. A regular 4-string bass tuned in the standard has the range of E1-F4. A regular 6-string acoustic guitar has the range of E2-B5, a regular 6-string electric guitar E2-D6.

There are 5-string and 6-string bass guitars as well. The difference is as big as between guitar and lute.

The role of a bass is very different as that of a guitar. The role of a guitar is something between the role of violin and grand piano in orchestra. The role of bass well corresponds to that of a contrabass. It mostly serves as a rhythm instrument, providing a strong base for both rhythm and harmony. It's rarely used as a lead instrument (though check My Generation by The Who). Guitar is a rhythm-and-lead instrument.

Also, a bass is much heavier lol.

  6. A guitar has the strings E, A, D, G , B and E.

A Bass guitar is very different. Tuned an octave lower than a guitar, a typical four string Bass Guitar has the strings E, A, D and G. The Bass guitar was based on the Upright Bass, but is electric and can be plugged directly into an amplifier.

There are not only four string basses but 5 String Basses, which are usually strung  B, E, A, D, G, B. The low be gives the bass a slightly wider range of notes, making the player able to play at a lower pitch than on a four string bass.

Unlike a guitar, a Bass guitar has a longer neck. This is due to the size of its frets. The strings on the Bass guitar are alot thicker than that of a regular guitar, producing the much lower pitch sounds.

You will usually be able to identify a bass guitar in a song when you hear the bassline which sounds like deep plucked strings, or slappy (Slap Bass, a technique often used in funk) or sometimes you may hear certain playing techniques similar to that of a guitar like slides, harmonics and sometimes even chords.

  7. bass guitars have thicker strings and they're lower pitched than normal guitars.

bass guitars can have 3, 4, or 6 strings

guitars can have 6, 7, or 12 strings...

    just randomness.
