I sat in on the latter, but didn't realize it until "the commission" was mentioned. I'm a bit confused. Are there different processes involved in them? Is there a difference?

  1. different levels

  2. I'm not positive about your situation, but here in GA  the commission would most likely be the county commission. the city council is a separate entity within the county. most government entities use the Roberts rules of parliamentary procedure as their meeting format. but set up their own rules for other things.

  3. Well it may vary but we used to have the electric light commission, the water and sewer commission, etc. These groups provide a service to citizens at a price (similar to a business) but was owned and operated by the city.
