Info on the "cooler"...the cooler may cover the horse all the way to their ears.....

Info on the equine "sheet"...you'll find that coolers and sheets are made in everything from wool, cotton and polyester blends.  They come in different sizes, you'll have to measure your horse, and designs and colors...best to look for them when many of the manufacturers have sales going on with their respective tack shops.

You can spend a little or a lot depending on what you are looking for ....

  2. well a cooler is a big sheet that you put on the horse after you work him so he won't cool down to fast. and a sheet is a really light blanket that is used for when you trailer your horse or for when it is raining but not cold. or it is good for when it is a little cold. but it is also good when their is a little wind chill so that way your horse will  stay warm if it is cold from the wind.well hope i helped Sabrina

  3. a cooler is put on a horse before and after a work out, or before saddling/while grooming in the winter.. its to keep them warmer, since in the winter they have nice warm blankets on, you can't just whip off the blanket and start working them, you need to ease them into the cold using a cooler.  You also put it on after a workout to help them warm up/keep the cold off if they sweat.

a sheet is just a thinner blanket, usually used in the spring/fall and before horse shows to keep the horse clean.

  4. A cooler is something you put on a horse that is warm from exercise, to keep its mucles from getting cold in cool weather, and to help it dry off faster. A sheet is used to keep your horse warm when it is a little cold out. There is also a dress sheet, which is to decorate your horse at a show, either on its way from the ring to/from the barn, or just standing around waiting its turn. People often use coolers in place of dress sheets as well.

  5. A cooler is used to cool a horse off after a good ride and the horse is sweating.  You want to keep body temp the same until the horse drys.  You don't want to unsaddle a sweaty horse and just tie it up.  You want to put a cooler on and walk the horse...cooling it off..hence the name.  A cooler usually has a couple of ties in front and is loosely fitted.

A stable sheet is fitted and commonly has buckles in the front

(chest area) and a couple of straps  underneath the horse's belly that hook.  You can use a stable sheet to keep your horse clean in the stall or to transport in a horse trailer.

Both coolers and stable sheets can be made from various materials.
