  1. Well, first off, all the grips are different, which makes them move differently.

The curve ball kind of self explanatory, but the curveball drops down more than any of the three, and goes at a slower speed most of the time.

The slider slides off the table and doesn't have a lot of dropping action like the curve, but moves over more than a curveball. the good sliders have a late break to them

The cutter moves faster, but has the least movement.

  2. The curveball is obvious, it curves to left (for righties) and to the right (for lefties) while also sinking downward through the strikezone. However, some curveballs tend to sink straight down without movement to the left or right. This pitch was wht made Barry Zito an ace for awhile but most hitters eventually learn how to hit you.

The slider is like a sideways version of the curve. The slider tends to break left or right (depending on which arm you throw it with) and it sinks just a little. Like the post above me just said, the best sliders are the ones with the late break.

The cutter is a fastball with slight movement, tht moves to left(for righties) and to the right (for lefties). It has a little less velocity than a normal fastball, due to the small movement it has. It's basically a 2-seam fastball but moves the opposite way.

  3. A curveball basically drops from high to low.  A slider "slides" from left to right or right to left.  A cutter has a slight movement, just enough to make the person miss the ball or hit it off center.

  4. the curve ball is slower and tends to have that drop to it.

A cutter has less movement and goes faster

A slider moves more but doesnt drop as much
