  1. SIZE, BABY, SIZE!!

Tornados are tightly spun, Hurricanes are widely spun, and the rest are somewhere between.

The tighter the funnel, the faster the speeds. Cyclones, Hurricanes, and Typhoons are the same thing, only named different for their locations.

    Hurricanes: Atlantic Ocean

    Typhoons: Pacific Ocean

    Cyclones: Indian Ocean

Cyclones,Twisters, and Dust Devils are American slang names for tornados, also.

  2. You can find answer at http://fewwords.info/2008/05/05/what-is-... .

  3. For starters, a cyclone and a tornado are essentially the same thing.  A cyclone, or cyclonic storm, is also any kind of whirling storm, including hurricanes and typhoons.

A tsunami is a giant wave, caused by an underground earthquake, I think.

Hurricanes and typhoons are also types of cyclones, according to Wikipedia.  The names are determined by their locations and strengths.

A tornado is sort of a smaller, individual land-based cyclone.  A hurricane is a giant weather system, the strongest type of storm on Earth.  Hurricanes and typhoons form over water, not land.

I believe a typhoon is just a hurricane that forms in the Western Pacific.
