What is the difference between a deep concave and a regular skateboard deck?

does a deep concave deck have more advantages to it. like making your ollie higher? thanks

  1. no it's easier to flip though, i prefer a board with a little more concave.


  2. deep or better know as steep concave is harder to ride, it's mostly used by more experianced skaters or pros, it works better if you have a wider deck. medium or pro concave is probably your most popular and easiest to use, board with steep concave usally break easier so if you have a habbit of breaking boards probably stay away from steep concave. mild is the easiest to learn from and the strongest of all the three types of concave. Don't be afraid to buy a deck with steep concave it could be great for you even if you are a beginner, most of my decks use steep like my mini logo superlight, gives them good pop and you have great control which is what you want a good concave for anyways. Common mistakes are thinking that concaves matters for flips but it doesn't it's more for strength and stability, think of it like a spoon it holds the stuff in there, eat with the other side of the spoon and you go hungry.
