What is the difference between a dictionary and a thasaurus??!?

  1. a thesaurus is a book that gives you definitions and other words that mean the same thing. good for expanding your vocabulary.

    a dictionary gives you definitions and origin of words


  2. A dictionary gives definitions of words, which can include synonyms, along with pronunciation etc, while the thesaurus gives synonyms or similar words only.

  3. A dictionary tells what a word means, how to pronounce it, and other info about it.  

    A thesaurus gives other words that mean the same thing or almost the same thing.
