  1. A Surrender tackle is: When a player with the ball lets himself be tackled ( e.g. to avoid being pulled into touch or dragged back over his goal line ) that is a surrender tackle; he is basicaly giving himself up.

    A dominant tackle is: when the player with the ball is tackled and held so that he cannot advance any further.
