  1. endoskeleton is the internal skeleton, which is what most people refer to when they just say skeleton. The exoskeleton, on the other hand, is an external skeleton which has prote<P>

    <P>Exoskeleton means that an animal has it's skeleton on the outside of it's body. These would be things like insects and crustaceans (lobster, shrimp).
    <P>Endoskeleton means that an animal has it's skeleton inside of it's body. That would be all mamals, bony fish, amphibians and reptiles, birds, ect.</P>
