  1. lol, power fade...thats what i call a slice...anyhow for a righty a fade curves to the right. a draw curves to the left.

as long as u can control it and hit it consistently a 280 yd fade is a great shot.

  2. Nothing wrong with a fade.. as long as its a true fade, which is just a slight "fall to the right" of the ball during its decent.

People call a power fade a "power fade" because they are really in denial.  A power fade is a slice.. nothing more.  I guess it makes the golfer not sound like a hacker if they use the term "power fade".

Jack Nicklaus played a high cut, which is what you would call a fade (but slightly).  He was a fairly long hitter in his day.

A cut or fade is more controllable and consistant over a draw.  A draw can get out of control.. and end up drawing more.. and more.. before you know it.. you are in the left, on every fairway you hit.  If played appropriately, a cut/fade is playable on every driving hole.

If its a dogleg left, you just have to align yourself on the leftside of the tee box and hit your go-to shot. (if you're a righty)

  3. It's consistency vs. distance, however a consistent 280 carry with a fade is amazing!  Can't wait to see you on tour!  Good luck!

  4. if you are a righty....a fade starts left and fades to the right...a draw starts right and turns to the left.  And yes 280 is good....

  5. A fade curves to the right (for a right handed golfer), and a draw curves to the left.  A fade usually stops quicker once it hits the ground, a draw tends to have more overspin and run out farther.  A power fade that carries 280 might be good depending on the what shot the hole calls for.

  6. well if u know how to play a fade then tat is very good. If not and it is a dog leg left and u play a fade to the right then u r going to b in big trouble with OB or trees. But if you can play your fade well and know how to hit ur next shot well then ur in very good shape. But mostly a little fade is not bad. most PGA pros hav fades.
