  1. If its wearing jewelry its probably a fancy one.

  2. Its all in the tail and sometimes the fins. Normal goldfish may attack them.

  3. A fancy goldfish is fancy

    unlike the fancy goldfish

the normal goldfish isn't as fancy as the fancy goldfish

  4. Fancy goldfish include fantails, orandas, moors, ryukins and ranchus [there are others as well]. They have rounded bodies, shaped kind of like a golf ball. Normally longer, flowing or split tails and a genetic deformity such as the wen in the orandas and the shoulder hump in the ryukins.

These normally grow to be 6"-8" long.

Common goldfish include comets, feeders [and to some people, shubunkins and koi]. They have longer slender bodies, shaped more like a typical fish. Flowing tails can occur in butterfly koi, shubunkins and comet goldfish. However, common and feeder goldfish normally have short tail fins. Single lobed tails and no genetic deformities.

These fish normally reach anywhere from 12"-30" and are best suitable for ponds rather than aquariums due to there large size.

  6. fancy are usually round and plump with a fan like tail, normal gold fish have the longer body and the usuall fish shaped tail <'))))))><

  7. A fancy Goldfish are usually the ones with the fancy tails.  They kind of fan out in the back.  The regular Goldfish just have the normal fish tail.  They're are many kinds of Goldfish and thus many different prices charged.  If you just want a plain-old Goldfish....I usually go for the cheap 25 cent feeder Goldfish.  They are just as nice as any and if they die...you aren't out a ton of money.
