  1. franchise is when you have your original brand or product and you  sell the right to another entity to resell your product. it's like having your idea paid by another person and you get to increase your branding.

    channel partner is when you are a distributor of a certain product and you have resellers which you have to support in terms of sellout. you would constantly monitor and support them for your item to still be present in the market

    whereas franchise, it is up to the franchise owner how he handles his business because it is you who makes efforts in maintaining and improving the brand in the market.
