What is the difference between a french polish and french manicure?

I have an appointment at a nail place tomorrow, but the people are chinese, and i cant understand them!! I want white bits at the end of MY nails. Which one is it that i want?? x*x

There is no difference really.  If you want just ask for a manicure (which is not artificial nails but a hand soak, cuticle removal/mousturization and hand massage.. then paint) with french tips.  They will know exactly what you mean because french tips are the most popular of all the nail varnishes they do.

From what i understand they look the same- just the polishes are done on your natural nails and the manicures are done on acrylic nails.  Therefore the Manicure will be more expensive than the polish.
