What is the difference between a girl and a girly girl?

I am trying to figure out what is the difference between a girl and a girly girl, especially in how one thinks and dresses in general. I am asking, as I am a cross dresser, and my friend who helps me out, says that she is going to make me a girly girl vs a girl

In  my opinion  a  girly girl is a magnet to the  eyes  when she comes in the  room.  She is  someone every one  wants to sit  with. She is  happy, sweet, charming. She not  only looks  good but can make others smile. She  walks and talks gracefully, She  doesn't  have to be extreme s**y look. Best examples I think of are movie  Pretty Woman  and  Miss Congeniality.  Good  Luck.

A girlie girl in my mind, is a girl who wears skirts, dresses, heels, accessorizes perfectly, wears full makeup, sits up straight and walks tall, has manners and likes pink. She probably means something a little less drastic, though : )

lol!  I do not like imposing s*x-based stereotypes on people, but I too am guilty of separating out "girly girls" from those who just happen to have vaginas (or otherwise feel female).

To me, girly girls are kinda boring because their interests are very specifically about displaying the traits they think are feminine.
