  1. a head shot usually kills you.

  2. Head shots are photos of people that are usually taken from shoulders up, used as a representation of what the person looks like. Glamour shots are, as the name suggests, photos that generally make people look better than they naturally do. With a lot of editing and makeup, they actually have an opposite effect.

  3. I'm no professional but i know that a headshot is basically a picture of your face that you would submit with a resume to a talent agency

A glamour shot is probably something you get made up and dressed up for.....hopefully i helped some  :]

  4. A head shot looks like you.

When you are called in for an audition based on your headshot it is really, very annoying for you to look not like that.

and when you are on an audition and we love you, but your headshot does not look like you, it is still a huge bad business move on your part, because we cannot share the headshot with our colleagues and move you forward in the process.

  5. In a head shot, you look like your natural self; you don't look all dolled up.  When you show up at an audition and hand over your head shot and resume, the people who are doing the casting will take a look to see if the photo is an honest representation of your looks.  That's what they want to see.  Costumes and makeup can make you uglier or more beautiful, depending on the roles you get cast in; what they want to know up front is what they have to work with, what you really look like.
