  1. 1)Kicker is a brand. An amp does exactly what it says (amplifies), it makes your music louder.  2)If you are getting the amp to specifically run a subwoofer then yes. If you want bass in your car then it is best to run a amp to a subwoofer. If you just want to make it louder in your ride then just hook up your amp to the inside speakers only.3)If you get a bassing sub then get an amp for it accordingly (kicker is a great brand).4)Yes, wires have to be run from the amp to the door speakers. The way it works is you run a power wire (12 volt ), a ground wire, remote wire to the amp, and rca jacks if your stereo has them and if not you have to get a converter(sends signal to amp from stereo to let it know what it is playing), and then run speaker wire from the amp to the speakers.
