  1. hyphae as in the threads put out by fungus?

they are asexual.. only the spores are the biploid gametes

  2. A wiener!

  3. I don't know if they are male or female or Hermaphroditic, but the Hyphae are the hairy filaments of mold cells.  Vegetative Hyphae lie flat and their purpose is nutrient absorption.  Aerial Hyphae stick straight up and have a ball of spores on top.  The spores are for reproduction. (Look like Dandelions under a microscope), the spores blow away and germinate.  These are the reproductive Hyphae, but again, I don't beleive they are male or female.
