  1. I would agree with the majority of your rationale answers wherein they've described the difference between a medium and just being sensitive.

However, I would caveat that it isn't "necessary" to always allow a spirit into the body; I actually recommend against it. Neither is it "necessary" to bond with an other worldly being to get the job done.

It may well be that is what worked for one person so they think everybody should do it that way...not so.

Even people who are just "sensitive" can evolve to "mediums" with the right explanations.

  2. A medium has a clear and open channel to the world of spirit. A sensitive is just that, "sensitive" to them, but may not necessarily make contact with them like a medium would.

  3. A medium, assuming they are honest, has completely embraced the ridiculous.A sensitive is merely wondering about the silly.

  4. In the realm of the paranormal, I believe the word "medium" is meant to imply that the person is supposed to be a medium of communication between the living and the dead, as opposed to simply being sensitive to or aware of paranormal phenomena.

From a skeptical viewpoint, mediums may actually think they can talk to the dead, or they be using magic tricks, or they may be using fraudulent techniques like cold or hot reading, but they aren't believed to be communicating with the dead.

  5. It's the difference between being a fraud and being deluded.

  6. mediums supposedly can channel spirits and the dead while people sensitive to the paranormal can have "gut feelings about something or be more spiritually aware of their paranormal surrounding.  I would love to know why you asked!!

  7. being sensitive is quite straight forward

a medium finds an other world entity to bond with , and the entity/spirit is the one that sees the things.

    it is a symbiotic relationship.

I think it is a really bad thing to do, I think it hurts you in the long run, and its so creepy,

people that can see in other realms say that is the worst thing they have ever seen.

I believe that Christians call it spiritism, and they say its bad.

I know how to do it, but there is no chance I ever would.

  8. I remain open in this as i have not seen any credible evidence to support any one point of view. So my answer will be from what i have learned from listening to others.

a medium is suppose to allow a spirit to enter into their bodies using their voice to talk to the living. Whereas a person who is sensitive to the paranormal is known to have many as well as often encounters of the paranormal.

  9. Come on.  Have you ever ordered your steak sensitive to the paranormal?

    .

  10. A medium is a person through whom spirits of dead people are said to speak. (They let spirits temporally possess them so they can communicate) Mediums are experts with communicating with spirits.

Being sensitive to the paranormal is sensing paranormal activities, entities, spirits, ghosts, etc. Usually the sensitive can communicate with spirits, just not on a high level.
