  3. Religion, Mongolian gerbils are Buddhist and regular gerbils don't believe in anything as a rule. Once in a great while you see a regular gerbil that's got religion. Its always standing around with its little paws together looking up at the sky. Its praying of course and you would too if you were his size and there was a cat in the house! A Mongolian gerbil is more likely to just meditate. I'll never forget the 1st time I saw a gerbil sitting in the lotus position. It made me feel like I too wanted to experience the peace this little guy obviously had. Well, thats the difference!

    if it comes from china then its chinese gerbil
