What is the difference between a natural disaster and man made disaster?

A natural disaster is one that is totally unavoidable, lasts (thankfully) for the shortest of times_except for hurricanes which can take a few hours in passing through a region_and leaves less blame to go around. While the man-made are totally avoidable_from beginning to end_, last much more than ever imagined and leave a long trail of blame to be shared.

One such disaster (part nature, part human error and negligence) was Katrina.

We'll never know what could have happened if those levis were not built then and there. But we'll always know that because of the bad construction, poor maintenance and lack of involvement among all government agencies and regular people, precious lives were lost as well as the displacement of thousands who never will go back home.

A natural disaster is a flood caused by rain, a fire started by lightning, or a gale-force wind over which man has no control,  An erupting volcano, a tsunami or a mud slide are natural disasters.

A man-made disaster is a flood left by carelessly running water, a fire set by man (arson) or a house caving in when a man carelessly runs into the house with his car.

these days the line is very fine .. all the wars for more than 100 years,, the fires that run rampant the sunami or a under water hydrogen bomb,, the flooding of new orleans mother nature or another powers that be controlled distraction in order to raid the hen house while the dogs mess up and get into the garbage cans again, and distract you.

volcano blowin up and burning ,covering with ashh and killing causing mudd slides that a little more natural disaster like.

earthquakes are pretty close to natural disaster at it s best most of the time but some well placed explosives near particular fault lines can change the world really quick ie the twin towers. so think of most of  the time as possibly man made for greed and control and at least we won't have the big sized sucker sign bolted on our heads

Natural is like a tornado, hurricane, flood, blizzard, forest fire

Man made is like a fire to a home because someone lit it on fire, bombing, .. like 9/11 was because of men, not nature
