I'm trying to get tickets to see Wicked and I'm not sure if there is a difference between the two shows. The preview show is cheaper but I want to make sure I'm going to see the entire thing. Thanks!

  1. Get the preview! It is the full show, and the people in it are OLD PROS from LA production that they moved to San Fran.

  2. Shows before an audience to get ready for opening night, when the celebrities come.

  3. The shows previews are usually the week or two weeks prior to the actual announced opening date. They are fine tuning everything at this point, meaning there could be some things that change from the preview to the actual opening. Sometimes previews are better because you get to see the intended cast. (Some might drop out for one reason or the other ex. the original Company)

  4. Shows are in preview for approx, 1 month prior to opening night.

Their more like dress rehersals before a paid audience. Been to one preview "Boy From OZ" with Hugh Jackman and saw it later just before closing.  Same show, just as good both times. Don't know where you are getting tks for preview of Wicked. Previews ended in Oct. 2003.
