What is the difference between a "full facility" campground and a "primitive" one?

Does this have something to do with RVs???

  1. different campgrounds have different interpretations but basically a full facility campground has showers, electrical and water hookups for RV's and primitive campgrounds have only lots for tents or RV's that can supply electric and water themselves


  2. Primitive camp is just a spot in the woods. Maybe with a fire ring. A few spots can be near you for other tent campers. If our lucky there will be water spigot and an outhouse near by.

    Full facility is camping in rows and rows of people in tents and RV's. Hot showers, flush toilets, snack bars, etc... you get the idea.
