Both represent buyers and sellers of real estate, however, a broker employs agents. All agents must be under the supervision of a licensed broker. Brokers have to pass a more rigorous exam than agents and only brokers can own real estate brokerage offices.

the real estate-broker has a license and the agent is a salesman,an employee with out a license,  but an agent can have a license as well. the legally needed person has the right to do it for a living and there are employees who can set up deal but the guy  or girl with the license has to be the official in the game
