I know the limit is higher if the card is stronger.

But there are silver, golden and platinum cards. What is the difference

between them other than the limit ?

  1. It all depends on how you use the card.  The credit limit, rewards, rate, benefits, and fee or etc.

  2. Nothing...just the limit.  And well, of course, certain considerations; for instance, you have less room for overspending with lower-grade cards than you would have with a platinum one, but essentially, the main difference is the credit limit and VIP perks some establishments offer if you use your card as your method of payment.

But you should also consider acceptance to determine a credit card's strength.  For instance, American Express, though it is widely accepted in the US, most other countries rarely accept it.

  3. A really strong creidt card, will scrape ice off your window in winter. A week credit card is good for applying window tint to your windows as you want the flex during the application of the film. jk

  4. Strong credit cards have higher limits, better rewards, lower APR, and other features.

Weak credit cards have low limits, high APR, poor rewards and support.

If you're applying for a business card American Express is usually the way to go

  5. The best credit card is the one that will pay you the most for funneling your normal expenses through it.  Then you always pay off your balance in full every month to avoid interest while raking in rewards.

Some good examples include the American Express Blue Cash card, the Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards (1st year), and the Capital One No Hassle Miles Ultra for Professionals.
