What is the difference between a regular mobile phone (cellphone) and a Blackberry? I'm confused!?

We have regular GSM mobile phones but are thinking, just thinking, of getting a Blackberry but what exactly can we do with a Blackberry that we can't already do with a regular mobile phone?

Basically you have 2 types of phones.

1. is a ordinary phone (usually they have some web capability, but their main function is telephoning and SMS)

2. Smart phones. These phones are basically mini computers aimed at people who need to do more than just make phone calls. The most famous smart phone is the iPhone, which is really cool but not a real work tool. Good web capability, lots of games and email. The most popular smart phone is the blackberry. Aimed at the business market it was basically a mobile email platform, but it is much more than that now. So tools to work with such as web access, applications for word processing, spreadsheets and of course a complex address book. The other major smart phone is the Palm Pilot (incidently invented by Apple long before the world was ready for it and sold off to become a seperate company). There are a range of other smart phones out there.

Basically think about what you need.

1. Telephone.

2. Size

3. MP3 and video

4. Email.

5. Web access.

6. Address book

7. Applications.

8. Games

9. Cool factor.

Then go shopping for a phone that does the things that you are interested in.

Blackberrys are for more professional types of people. They have more options on them. Usually they have a better camera, Video, More storage space, You can add more contacts, They have a better organizer so ur never late for appointments it has a better internet option, it looks more like the actual internet then reg flip phones. Really to me there not all that great. there bigger in size and from my own personal experience they freeze up alot like a computer. thats basicly what they are is a mini computer.
