What is the difference between a regular monster card and a synchro card?

Several. The first is the color (White compared to purple, orange, yellow, blue and other colors). The others are they can only be summoned with a Tuner monster and only by sending 1 tuner monster and one or more non tuner monsters that equal the Synchro monsters lvl (Such as, Gaia Knight, The Force of Earth is a lvl 6, needing a tuner monster of 1-5 and a non tuner monster equaling the rest of the needed starts, IE: Magna Drago, a lvl 2 tuner and Dark Blade, a lvl 4 non tuner = Gaia Knight, The Force of Earth).
