What is the difference between a remote start and a car alarm?

I bought a Viper 571xv and i taught it was a car alarm. Is there a way i can make it to a car alarm?

Remote Start: Start the car with a remote.....

Alarm: Will sound alarm if someone tries to steal it.....

Why did you buy a remote start if you were looking for an alarm..???

no you cant make it in to a car alarm,that will have to be added separate,most of those cars did come with alarm systems on them though,but some didn't,its easy to add a system to it though,viper brand makes a real good alarm system for that car,that's what i have on my car is a viper system and it works really well,it goes off a lot though,but at least it works well it went of last night because someone was trying to steal gas from it,the are very sensitive,but well worth the money they cost,good luck.

Read in instruction and see if you can just by-pass this feature.........you can also call the tech line and ask as well.

Remote start: Starts the car

Car alarm: Sounds when someone is touching or doing something to your car.

I don't think that you can make it into a car alarm. Just buy one if you have to or want to.
