I really want a daisy rock guitar I'm a beginner so Idon't know much about guitars. One thing Ive noticed is that on the description of the daisy rock guitars like the one that are shaped like hearts and star they say short scale guitar and I don't know what that means. P.S I'm 14.

  1. It means the guitar neck is shorter (actually, not just the neck, but the whole guitar, but the neck is where it matters).  Mainly this will mean the sound isn't as full as with a regular guitar.  Also, unless you're smaller and want a small guitar, it might be better to go with a standard size guitar so everything you learn applies to the guitar you'd be playing in front of people/to write songs/etc.

  2. Hey, I'm a year older than you and this year I also looked into getting a Daisy Rock (I was going to pay for it myself so needed the low price range).  Short scale (meant for younger, smaller beginners) means that all the frets are scaled slightly down so the length of the neck is ultimately shorter for smaller hands and arms.  I would NOT recommend them as they generally have a lower quality of sound and an uncomfortable feel (especially for anyone over the age of 11).  If you are going to get one of these guitars, I highly recommend one of the more expensive electrics, only because you are less likely to receive a product with shotty workmanship (they are notorious for that).  If they do send you c**p, you can complain if you actually paid some real money for it.  I think you will be most satisfied with a rebel rockit, stardust elite, or a retro-h (deluxe).  That is just me though, of course you should buy whatever makes you happy.

Be sure to check review sites like harmonycentral.com to check on the quality and overall satisfaction of the product.

    Good luck!
