It's getting difficult to do reseach in Palintology! Her church website has deleted all of the pastor's sermons as well as a speech she gave to a church youth ministry a few months ago.

As for the hockey mom label - I read a few days ago that her eldest son lived in Michigan for his senior year in high school so that he could play hockey in Portage Michigan as a try out for Wings. And guess what, Mrs. Hockey Mom never visited him once during that time. This info has also disappeared from the web, but I am not making it up.

A hockey mom is a soccer mom in mukluks who shows up for 5 am or 11 pm ice time to cheer her little dumpling on.  She also appreciates game time violence more than the soccer mom.

Hockey mom's need larger vehicles to carry all the equipment, ergo, Dem's dislike them due to the fuel consumption of that larger vehicle.

Hockey is played on ice, soccer in a field. Hockey requires more gear, more violent, requiring more temper control.

In Alaska and Minnesota (In Canada, too, but that wouldn't be patriotic to mention), they have hockey moms. Hockey moms are the ones who get up at 5 in the morning to get their kids to the rink at six. I don't think soccer moms have that kind of dedication.

Too bad Levi Johnston's hockey mom didn't pay more attention to her son.
