i'm getting confused. the prices are quoted by the square yard. i'm so bad at math. how many square yards is a room that is 12 feet by 15 feet?

180 sq. ft / 9 = 20 sq.yrds

You divide by 9 because there are 9 sq. ft. in 1 sq. yrd.

OR

12 ft. / 3 = 4 yrds. and 15 ft. / 3 = 5 yrds.

You divide by 3 because there are 3 ft. in 1 yrd.

4 yrds x 5 yrds = 20 sq. yrds.
