  1. typewriter - u hit a key and it strikes a ribbon to put ink onto paper one keystroke at a time

    computer - performs functions and operations, one function can be acting like a typewriter in that u can type a letter and then print it


  2. What is the difference between a pushbike and a space rocket!!  You use a typewriter just for document production such as letters and reports.  You can use a computer for many different things, as you know.

  3. A typewriter is a mechanism for typing letters and documents.  When using a typewriter, the letters and symbols are printed directly onto the paper as you go along.

    A computer, as I'm sure you know, can be used for millions of things.  Writing letters and documents, too.  The difference is that when u use a computer for writing to someone, you are not printing directly onto the paper.  U can print on paper when u are done, or u can send your mail electronically.

  4. On a typewriter you can only type. With the computer you can type, draw, paint, play music, watch movies, games, calculate, visualizeand many other things that you cannot do on the typewriter.
