  1. abiotic is non-living so like rocks. Biotic is living so like trees, grass etc.


  2. abiotic refers to nonliving factors such as minerals, weather, water, etc.

    biotic refers to living factors ranging from microorganisms to top predators.

    any time you see an a in front of a word it means not.  In this case abiotic = not living.

  3. Abiotic factors are nonliving: temperature, altitude, latitude, salinity, pH, and so on.

    Biotic factors are living: predators, poachers, bacterial infection, prey or plant food shortage, poisonous plants, impenetrable underbrush, mate location, rivals or competitors, and so on.
