  1. Good question!

#1. You can't see an alligator's teeth when it's mouth is closed; its lower teeth fit snugly into pits in the upper jaw. In contrast, a crocodile's lower teeth are always visible.

#2. Alligators have a broad snout, while crocodiles have a thinner snout.

#3. Alligators tend to be grayish black in color, whereas crocodiles have a light tan appearance.

#4. Alligators can only be found in the southeastern United States and in some parts of China. Crocodiles can be found all over the world.

#5. In the wild, alligators tend to run away. While not exactly wallflowers, they certainly prefer their own company. Some species of crocodiles, on the other hand, have legendary tempers. The Salt Water Crocodile and the Nile Crocodile have been known to eat people.

So yeah that's pretty much it. Hope I helped!

  2. they have different names. the bottom of one of them is greener than the other.

  3. nose thin on croc,, country they live in ,,but one place has both i think try google

  4. fresh water/saltwater and the shape of the snout is massively different.

  5. Here are 3 main differences between a croc and an alligator.  There are a few more but using these three you would easily be able to tell the difference.

    1.  They come from different families.  The alligator is in the alligatoridae family and the crocodile is in the crocodylidae family.  There are three different families of crocodilians.

    2.  The shape of their jaw differs.  The alligator as wide U shaped jaw, while the crocodiles have longer V shaped noses.

    3.  Alligators upper jaws are wider than their lower jaws; when their mouth is closed the only teeth you see are their upper teeth.  With crocodiles the upper and lower jaw are about the same so the lower and upper teeth interlock with each other; when their mouth is closed you see both upper and lower teeth.

    Hope this helps. :)
