  1. ABCD golfers are mostly connected to scramble tourneys

    for instance

the best player on the team is the "a"

    Second best "b"

    Third "c"

    Fourth "d"

so ur A is prolly gonna have a single digit handicap

    "B" maybe a 15-20

    "C" 21-30

    "D" maybe a 30 or higher

but it all depends on your teams skill level

Your "d" player could be a 10 handicap!

    or a 40

    Hope this helps!!!

  2. The A has the lowest handicap, the D has the highest.  There is no set standard for where those handicaps must fall, it will vary from tournament to tournament and it up to the committee to establish.

  3. A,B,C.D players are at every country club and are classified by their  handicap. Up to 10 is A, 11 through 15 is B; 16 thru 21 is C and over 21 is D. In addition to scrambles there are championship tournaments for every flight, partnership tournaments where team handicaps cannot be less that a number which would partner low with high. In this manner every one involved has a chance to win.
