Are these the same thing, is the word anti oxidant completely and entirely different than a vitamin by definition or is it just a marketing ploy word.

  1. An antioxidant is a molecule capable of slowing or preventing the oxidation of other molecules while a vitamin is an organic compound required as a nutrient in tiny amounts by an organism.

  2. Marketing ploy - vitamin c is an anti-oxident. Not all vitamins are antioxidents though.

Anti-oxidents are chemical molecules that easily bind to toxic chemicals that we ingest either through eating, breathing or absorbing through our skin. This blocks them from entering our cells and damaging the structure of our DNA.
