  1. An observation is just the data ... plot of temperature vs. time for example.

Interpretation is inferring something from that data... you saw an average rise of temp of 5 degrees / minute. This would require you to apply some kind of processing on that data to realize that.

  2. interpretations - an explanation or establishment of the meaning or significance of something

observation - what u see happening

So basically u make interpretations based on the observation

  3. interpretation= guess

observation= you see it, then guess whats happening

  4. an observation is merely noting down what you are actually seeing, every change/every step.it is a process of collecting data.

interpretation is the analysis of those observations - why the change(s) took place...it is an analysis of / making sense of the data collected to try to arrive at an inference.

eg., when you add a few drops of methly orange to a clear solution given to you, there is a change in color.

for Observation, you will note down that the color has changed from __ to ___.

for Inference, you will note that since the colour of the reagent changed from ....., the solution given to is probably an acid ....

for Interpretation, you will try to analyse why you reached such a conclusion - why such a reaction took place, etc.

    hope this helped

  5. Well an observation simply is what your senses pick up, an interpretation is how you process and analyze your observation.

  6. An observation would be what is seen in and outside looking point of view. Stating simply what is step by step like directions.

An interpretation would be your thoughts and feelings on what has happened. What you think was going on or why it was happening.

    Hope this helps.
