What is the difference between an ordinary volleyball game and an amateur vollyeball game?

By amateur they could mean a "picnic game". That means the people on the team dont actually play volleyball and most likely suck. Like the kinda game you play at family reunions or something :)

Usually when there is talk about amateur competition it is being compared to professional ones....i.e. the AVP tournaments vs. local amateur doubles tournaments.

Well in ametuer volleyball you dont get payed :)

I guess "ordinary" means "boring" and amateur means "more fun" :)

When you go pro (or semi-pro), you will see more competitions, more tears, more injuries, and more memorable moments.
