  1. wow haha... okay let put it this way marines is not in the picture here okay they are just equal to army infantry..second dont ever compare marines with ranger.. ranger is kind of like infantry man on steriods.. third dont ever compare ranger with special forces.. how you guys going to compare 12 week of training = infantry-marines to ranger 15 weeks and futher you guys compare that to special forces 12 weeks plus 2 years of training... p.s. you guy know why marines are so proud of them self because they are the infantry for the navy.. they use to fall under the navy that is why they think they the best and they fight who?? the j*p and they compare them self with bunch of seaman lol now you know their secret o yeah how long is marines deployment 6 months lol wow fight for six month and think they bad a*s...

  2.  @Guest21677086: Mostly good, but false on the Delta bit about recruitment.  They actively recruit of Army bases, openly announcing information sessions through the base paper and posters atvarious units and base support facilities (i.e. the PX).  The following link has a short bit on it.

  3. Most of the people who answered the question got their facts wrong.

Rangers are the US Army's Special Operations Force (SOF) and are deployed for main combat and conventional warfare than other branches SOF. They are bad a*s.

Green Beret is the nickname for the US Army's Special Forces (SF), which are trained in geurilla tactics and unconventional battle, they are also tasked with training allied militias and other fighting groups friendly to the US on how to fight for us. They are extremely important.

SEALs, despite their reputation, are not a fighting force, they are a strict reconnsaisance unit. They are much like ninjas, they are in and out before the battle begins. They are truely bad a*s, but 80% of them do not ever squeeze a trigger. They are sent in to gather important information, and capture high value targets without stiring up the hornets nest and get themselves killed.

Marine Special Operations Capable units (or MARSOC for short, formeraly called Force Reconnaissance, Force Recon, ForCon or just plain FC) are trained extensively on many skills, they are not just strait forward reconnaissance, nor are they used like regular Marine Infantry (as depicted in the Call of Duty games). They are the Marine SOF, they are trained in stealth, reconnsaissance, and gathering information while at the same time in combat skills both conventional and unconventional. They are a well rounded task force designated to sneak into enemy terriroty, absent of back up, and chewing themselves out a new a*s hole. They are trained more heavily on strait forward combat than SF, but not to the same degree as Rangers. They are trained more extensively on unconventional combat as Rangers, but not to the same degree as SF. They are trained far more in reconnsaissance than both SF and Rangers, but not to the degree of SEALs. However, while SEALs are not supposed to stir up the hornets nest and tell the enemy they are there, MARSOC is supposed to sneak in and then give that mother a shake like it's never seen.

No dumb a*s, f**k up, or imbecile better ever again say that one branch of service, SOF or Infantry, is better than another, because you stupid f***s like mAni don't know what your talking about. They are tasked with different jobs, Rangers are not better than Marines, and how dare you insult a serviceman who fought to defend your life. As a Marine i need to tell you, Rangers are far different. We are the first to fight and don't you forget that. The Marines land on nations before any other, regardless if Rangers have longer training. Don't compare normal Infantry to SOF, they are not better and are tasked with different jobs.

Delta Force is a super elite, secret organized group of warriors that deploy in only teams of 2 or 4. They are the absolute of incredibility. They are a force that recruits from all branches of service, and only accepts the best of the best (double meaning not intended). They are our main counter terrorist force that is tasked to be able to do whatever is required of them to get the job done, no exceptions. You cannot volunteer for Delta, nor can you find them, they must send you a letter or email requesting you to join, you absolutely cannot simply ask. There are so few and they are so elite that the government as well as the military refuses to confirm or deny it's existance. Now, you can argue that THEY are the most elite and best at everything.

  4. Army Rangers specialize in Air assault (coming in from the sky via helicopter or parachute. Marines are trained more aggressively, and specialize in Sea Invasions. Green Barret's, contrary to belief, are NOT a fighting force. They are teachers. They are deployed behind enemy lines to help public with the natives in hopes of building militias that are friendly to the U.S. and its allies. I'm not sure about Delta though :/

  5. green berets are a special forces group their training consists of 3 weeks in h**l Rangers a whole different story theyre training is longer harder they go on different types of missions also green berets are guerrilas and army rangers are comando's theyres your answer RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!

  6. Army Rangers, are the special forces group for the U.S Army, marines are trained a bit more and in a specific field and Rangers,in training and in character are well above a marines....

  7. I know WHY the MARINE FORCE TRAINING IS BETTER then ANY ARMY Special Forces,Special OPS, Delta Force, Army Green Berets,Texas Rangers, Army Ranger or ANY OTHER ARMY SPECIALIZED UNIT?

they: AINT READY to be MARINES YET - LOL

  8. Okay. Army Rangers, are the special forces group for the U.S Army. Marines are, just well Marines. My uncle is a Marine. Marines are not any type of special forces operations. The Marine Corpe is a regular branch in the military, just like the Air Force, Navy, and Army. Marines have a special Forces group called RECON. Also MARSOC. Which is Marines special operation command. Anyway. Green Berets, are different. They are not any type of special forces operation. They are just plain. They are they own group. Many Green Berets have passed Ranger school and are Ranger Qualified. How ever, Green Berets are a group of non commisioned officers. Which would be your Privates, Private first class, corple, sargent, ect. Hope I cleared up all the confusion.

  9. This is what i think, rangers are the standard army unit, marines are trained a bit more and in a specific field. That doesnt mean Marines are better. Green barets are tactical troops that go on covert missions. Hope i am right

  10. Rangers are like marines my a**e!  marines are a step above a soldier trained in a non combat mos, however they are equal to a soldier trained in infantry with some short comings.   infantry soldiers sole purpose is that INFANTRY!,were as a marine is trained for combat but they are also trained in a specific job albeit cook to mechanic.  Rangers,in training and in character are well above a marines!!!!

  12. Green Berets and Special forces are the same thing. Rangers, A tough light infantry force not to be confronted by unless you want to get your head blown off. Rangers are not only light infantry but they can conduct special operations missions like special recon. Special forces(Green Berets) are not just force multipliers but can conduct missions like direct action, special recon, unconventional warfare, counter-drug operations, phsycological operations, they help coordinate coalitions like such as in the first Gulf War, they also perform counter terrorism operations world wide. There is much more, I just don't know it all. Hope it helps.

  13. dude are you flipping saying marines are anything like rangers??? even force recon, please... rangers forever
