  1. Bands are the things that go over your brackets sometimes called "colors". They help keep the bracket and wire in place so it doesn't wiggle.

    Elastics or "rubber bands" are stretchy pieces of elastic that stretch from your top teeth down to the bottom. It helps keep your jaw and teeth straight. You can wear them like triangles if you doctor says or like straight lines if he says.


  2. the band is the object the elastic is the property and no their not the same thing, when you get the term elastic band its just describing that band as being made of elastic
